The AF-3X from Ubiquiti is a Microwave Backhaul Radio Link that operates from 3300 to 3900 MHz. It delivers a data rate of up to 687.9 Mbps and uses xtreme Range Technology (xRT) to provide a maximum range of more than 200 km. This microwave backhaul radio link can deliver over 1 million packets per second with a latency of less than 2 ms (at full throughput, half duplex mode). It uses Ubiquiti’s INVICTUS custom silicon and proprietary radio architecture designed specifically for long-distance, outdoor wireless applications. This INVICTUS core communications processing engine provides exceptional performance, long-range capability, DFS flexibility, and higher delivered throughput. It is designed to provide the highest TDD throughput and lowest latency available using proprietary Hybrid Division Duplexing (HDD) technology.
The AF-3X uses precise GPS frame synchronization that enables co-located airFiber X radios to transmit and receive data without interfering with each other, enabling better frequency reuse and increased network stability. It delivers a Tx power of up to 30 dBm and has an Rx sensitivity of up to -90 dBm. This microwave backhaul link requires a DC supply of 18-54 V or a 24 V 1 A PoE supply and consumes less than 17 W of power. It can be controlled via 10/100/1000 Ethernet and 10/100 Ethernet interfaces. It is available in an airFiber X mount (Rocket Mount Compatible) or GPS pole-mounted housing that measures 261 x 107 x 107 mm with SMA and RP-SMA weatherproof connectors. This microwave backhaul radio link is ideal as a backhaul link or Rocket Point-to-Point (PtP) link.
