The SSPA 0.5-2.5-200 from Aethercomm is a Solid-State GaN Power Amplifier that operates from 500 MHz to 2500 MHz. It provides a saturated output power of 200 Watts with a small signal gain of 60 dB and power added efficiency 35-50% (CW conditions).
This SSPA can be turned on / off in less than 10 uSec. The power amplifier module has protection from reverse polarity, output short and open circuit, and over/under voltage. All functionality is controlled via external discrete signals applied to the DSUB interface. Temperature is monitored and reported by this module. This amplifier will need to be cooled via conduction to a heat sink.
The high power amplifier is available in a module that measures 9.0 x 5.0 x 1.5 inches with an SMA female connector at the input port and N-type female connector at the output port. This GaN broadband SSPA is designed to be used in any system where high power, high efficiency and high linearity are required across a large frequency spectrum. It is tested to withstand MIL-STD-810 high shock and vibration requirements.
