The ADPA7005 from Analog Devices is an MMIC Power Amplifier that operates from 18 to 44 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of more than 1 W (32 dBm) with a gain of 14.5 dB and has a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 11%. The amplifier requires a DC supply of 5 V, consumes 1.4 A of current, and has an integrated temperature-compensated, on-chip power detector. It is available in a surface-mount 18-terminal ceramic leadless chip carrier that measures 7 x 7 mm and exhibits low thermal resistance and is compatible with surface-mount manufacturing techniques. The RF input and outputs are internally matched, and DC blocked for ease of integration into higher-level assemblies. It is ideal for linear applications such as electronic countermeasure and instrumentation applications.
