The AM-1077 from Datron is a Solid-State Linear Amplifier that operates from 30 to 88 MHz. It delivers an average output power of 50 W. This amplifier can be used with exciters to form high-power VHF systems, and with any VHF transmitter having an appropriate output power, compatible DC power, and control interfaces. It has a linearity rating that ensures high performance for all VHF voice and high-speed data applications. This amplifier has harmonics of -55 dBc.
This lightweight solid-state amplifier also employs harmonic filters to provide high attenuation of transmitter harmonics and spurious emissions. The automatic level control (ALC) feature supported by this amplifier helps to maintain stable RF output over the entire operating frequency range and fluctuating temperatures. It offers protection against load mismatch, and open, & short-circuit conditions at the antenna port.
The AM-1077 requires a DC supply of 12/24 V. It is available in an enclosure that measures 2.4 x 11.0 x 11.0 inches and is ideal for tactical applications.
