The dB-4345 from dB Control is a TWT Amplifier that operates from 2 to 6 GHz. It delivers a CW output power of more than 325 W with more than 55 dB of gain. It uses a periodic permanent magnet (PPM)-focused, conduction-cooled TWT for power amplification of CW, AM, FM, or pulse-modulated signals. The amplifier is equipped with built-in TWT protection circuits for helix over-current, cathode over-voltage, high reflected RF power, and over-temperature. It also features an embedded micro-controller that provides the interface, control, and protection functions, as well as extensive fault diagnostics and status indication for the TWT Amplifier.
The dB-4345 has a status indication monitor that displays equipment status, faults, TWT filament/operating hours, and forward/reflected power. It is available in a rackmount enclosure that measures 19 x 26 x 7 inches with N-type (female) input and SC-type (female) output connectors. This TWTA also features forced air cooling along with an integral fan. It is ideal for use in ECM transmitters, electronic warfare (EW) simulation, test and measurement, RFI susceptibility testing, EMC tests, RF components testing, antenna pattern, and radar cross-section measurement applications. The amplifier requires an AC supply of 220 V and consumes less than 2 kVA of power.
