The 2198 from Empower RF is a tri-band amplifier housed in a single chassis and is suitable for high bandwidth, high power CW, modulated, and pulse applications. The amplifier system consists of three amplifiers: One from 20 MHz to 1000 MHz that provides 100 watts of power, another operates from 1000 to 3000 MHz and provides 100 watts of power and the third from 2000 to 6000 MHz and provides 40 watts of power. It is available with user selectable modes for Automatic Level Control (ALC) and Manual Gain Control (MGC).
The amplifier utilizes both High power LDMOS and GaN devices that provide wide frequency response, high gain, high peak power capability, and low distortions. It employs advanced broadband RF matching networks and combining techniques, EMI/RFI filters, and all qualified components to provide exceptional performance, long-term reliability and high efficiency. It is available in a 3RU drawer with forced air-cooling.
