The SMIQ-134H+ from Mini-Circuits is a MMIC Mixer with an RF/LO frequency from 10 to 30 GHz and an IF frequency from DC to 7 GHz. This mixer has a conversion loss of less than 9.2 dB and provides 35 dBc of image rejection. It is fabricated using GaAs HBT technology and has been designed to serve as a single-sideband (SSB) up-converter for transmit applications or an image rejection mixer for receiver applications. This I/Q mixer provides an LO-RF isolation of 39 dB and an LO to IF isolation of 40 dB. Its high isolation minimizes filtering requirements to ensure signal integrity, and no DC bias is required for its operation.
The SMIQ-134H+ has a miniature footprint that saves space in dense layouts while providing low inductance, repeatable transitions, and excellent thermal contact with the PCB. It is available in a 24-lead QFN package that measures 4 x 4 mm and is ideal for 5G mmWave, backhaul radio, test and measurement equipment, satellite communications, EW, ECM defense systems, and radar applications.
