The VMA-Q64X8SE from Vaunix is a 64 Input x 8 Output Digital Matrix Attenuator Handover Test System that operates from 500 to 6000 MHz. It provides 90 dB of attenuation control with a step size of 0.1 dB on all 512 possible path combinations. It has an insertion loss of less than 20 dB, switching speed of 2 µs, and a VSWR of 1.5:1. The attenuators are easily programmable for fixed attenuation, swept attenuation ramps, and fading profiles using Vaunix’s highly developed Windows API DLL files and Linux platforms.
The device is 110/220V AC powered and controlled through a single Ethernet port on the rear of the chassis. This matrix attenuator is available in a 15RU rack-mount unit that measures 17.0 x 13 x 26.25 inches, whereas, all input and output signals are available on the front panel with SMA or optional N-Type connectors. It is ideal for Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, 6G, MIMO, multipoint radio fading simulators, semiconductor test, qualification labs, and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) applications.
