The VMA-Q8X8SE from Vaunix is an 8x8 Bi-Directional Matrix Attenuator that operates from 500 to 6000 MHz. It provides an attenuation range of 90 dB with a step size 0.1 dB and has a switching speed of 2 μs. The attenuator has an insertion loss of less than 35.5 dB (including loss of power dividers) and can handle up to 33 dBm of input power. It is controlled through an Ethernet port and is easily programmable for fixed attenuation, swept attenuation ramps and fading profiles using Windows API DLL files and Linux platforms.

The VMA-Q8X8SR is available in a rack mount chassis that measures 431.8 x 330.2 x 132.8 mm with SMA-female connectors (N-Type optional connectors). It is suitable for applications such as Wi-Fi 6, LTE, 5G, MIMO, multipoint radio fading simulators, semiconductors test and qualification labs and automated test equipment.
