The E8707A from Keysight Technologies is a Radar Target Simulator for the frequency range from 76 to 77 GHz. The system is designed to test automotive electronics by simulating radar targets in realistic scenarios for more sensitive and accurate automotive radar technology in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). It requires a physical distance of one meter between the simulator and DUT and provides a full simulation range from 10 m to 450 m or within 2 fixed ranges. The system provides simulation for both the range and radar cross section and requires an optional signal source for the simulation of Doppler for relative object speed.

The E8707A delivers flexible transmit and receive configurations which include a single-horn with a built-in transceiver; or a dual-horn with transmit and receive capabilities. It runs on an embedded Windows 7 OS and comes with a graphical user interface (GUI). This simulator is available in a 5 RU chassis that measures 425 x 216 x 571 mm and requires an AC supply.
