The MWX2 Series from Gap Wireless are Flexible Cable Assemblies that operate from DC to 67 GHz. They are designed for measuring instruments and have low repulsion to reduce stress loads to measured objects with excellent phase stability against bending. These 50-ohm cable assemblies are available in standard armored type, lightweight armored type and non-armored type variants. They have an outer diameter of up to 12.5 mm (for armored type) and a minimum bending radius of 6 mm. The non-armored cable assemblies have a silver-plated Copper center conductor, low-density PTFE dielectric followed by silver-plated copper tape and silver-plated copper braid, and finally a PVC sheath. The armored variants use varying sheaths in their construction.
The MWX2 Series of cable assemblies have an insertion loss of less than 5.6 dB/m, a capacitance of 88 pF/m and a propagation delay of better than 4.40 ns/m. They have a wavelength reduction rate of 77% and a VSWR of less than 1.43:1. These cable assemblies are available in lengths ranging from 200 to 5000 mm with various coaxial connector options.
