The WLW3000H6 from Compex is a 6 GHz Wi-Fi 6E (802.11a/n/ac/ax) Wireless Module. It is based on Qualcomm’s Atheros QCN9024 (commercial) or QCN9074 (industrial) Pine series of radio solutions and is suitable for interference-free long-distance backhaul communication in the 6 GHz band. This wireless module ensures high signal power, providing better coverage over a wide area. It supports channel bandwidths of 20, 40, 60, 80, and 160 MHz (at 6 GHz) and with 4 spatial streams, it is capable of achieving up to 4.8Gbps with the availability of 160MHz bandwidth. This module provides a transmit power of 26 dBm and has a receiver sensitivity of -96 dBm. It requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes less than 16 W of power.
The WLW3000H6 can operate in both AP and STA modes, i.e., it can perform backhaul and provide connectivity for 6 GHz clients simultaneously. It supports several digital modulation schemes such as BPSK, QPSK, DQPSK, DBPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM, 256-QAM, 1024-QAM, and 4096 QAM along with OFDMA and 4x4 MU-MIMO. This module is equipped with FIPS L2 for customers requiring cryptographic protection of their products. It is not restricted to work only on Qualcomm’s modem family, but also on other party platforms such as Intel x86 and other ARM processors such as NXP and Marvell.
This wireless module includes a 2 Mbps I2C bus with PCIe 3.0 interface ports for remote control on OpenWRT OS. The WLW3000H6 is available in an M.2 E-Key package that measures 57.0 x 60.0 x 6.3 mm and is ideal for enterprise, industrial, cybersecurity, SMB, and transportation applications.
