The XBee S1 802.15.4 from Digi is an RF Module that operates at 2.4 GHz. The module provides a data rate of 250 kbps and features a Freescale (Now NXP) MC13212 transceiver chipset. It transmits 1 mW of power and has a receiver sensitivity of -92 dBm. The module includes six 10-bit ADC inputs, 8 digital I/O, and 128-bit AES encryption. It requires a DC supply voltage from 2.8 to 3.4 V, consumes 45 mA of current while transmitting and 50 mA of current while receiving.
The XBee S1 802.15.4 has a 3.3 V CMOS UART serial data interface and supports API or AT commands and local or over-the-air configuration methods. This module has an indoor range of 30 m and a line-of-sight range of 100 m. The module measures 24.38 x 27.61 x 2.03 mm and is available with chip, wire whip, U. FL and RPSMA antenna options.
