The SX-SDMAH (US) from Silex Technology is an 802.11ah Wi-Fi HaLow SDIO/SPI Module for hosted embedded systems. It utilizes Morse Micro’s MM6108 IC and provides high-transmission power to gain more distance and better coverage. This module supports up to 8 MHz of channel bandwidth to provide data transmission of up to 32.5 Mbps bit rate (PHY) in countries that allow using 8 MHz of bandwidth. The module has a host SDIO or SPI interface to operate with a processor or a microcontroller. The module requires a DC supply of 1.8/3.3/5 V and has a power-saving mode option.
The SX-SDMAH (US) has a small footprint with an integrated antenna connector to save PCB space, allowing for a more flexible embedded system design. It is available in a 60-pin LGA package that measures 17.00 x 18.00 x 2.65 mm and is ideal for use in Wi-Fi HaLow™ access points, gateways, ethernet wireless bridges, Wi-Fi extenders, GNSS receivers, vehicle telemetry devices, high-end sensors (e.g., vibration sensors) and access control systems.
