The ASMOP1CO0R1 from Amosense is an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Module that operates from 6.24 to 8.24 GHz. This module is based on NXP’s SR040 UWB transceiver IC and has an ARM Cortex-M33 32-bit processor, RF circuitry, power management, and clock circuitry in one module that is compliant with IEEE 802.15.4 HRP UWB PHY specifications. It provides embedded PHY and MAC support that offers compatibility with FiRa consortium specifications.
This module requires an external antenna for communication. On the Tx side, it delivers an output power of up to +12 dBm, while on the Rx side, it has a sensitivity of -92 dBm. This module requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes 115 mA of current. It can be controlled using an SPI (host) interface. This UWB module is available in a surface-mount package that measures 13.0 x 17.0 x 2.7 mm and is ideal for 2-way ranging measurements and TDoA-based one-way ranging applications.
