The ISM43340-M4G-L44 from Inventek Systems is an embedded 2.4 & 5 GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Bluetooth 5.0 module. The module consists of an ARM M4 host processor with 1 MB flash, Cypress CYW43340Dual-Band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) 802.11 a/b/g/n MAC/Baseband/Radio with Integrated Bluetooth 5.0. The module has two antenna options, an onboard dual band chip 2.4 & 5 GHz or a U.FL external 2.4 & 5 GHz antenna.
The ISM43340 module includes integrated power amplifiers, LNAs and T/R switches for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WLAN bands. It is available in a 14.70 x 34 x 2.5 mm surface mount package and has full FCC, IC and CE certificationas well as certification for several additional Asian countries including China as well as South American countries. The module is suitable for low cost embedded wireless applications like computing devices, printers, scanners and logistics. This Serial WiFi module provides UART and SPI interfaces enabling connection to an embedded design. The module requires no operating system and has a completely integrated TCP/IP Stack.
Application firmware can be developed using either Cypress Semiconductor’s WICEDTM SDK or Inventek’s IWINAT Commands running in an external host and using the modules UART or SPI interface.
