The Sona TI351 from Ezurio is a 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.4 Combo Module designed for industrial IoT connectivity. It supports integrated Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth radio coexistence and is powered by Texas Instruments’ CC3351 chipset to ensure seamless connectivity in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz ISM bands. This module consists of a power amplifier (PA), a low noise amplifier (LNA), and a SISO antenna (1x1) that supports communication even in harsh RF environments. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V (supply) and 1.8 V (I/O).
The Sona TI351 features OFDMA, TWT, virtual simultaneous dual-band, zero wait DFS, 1024-QAM, and BSS coloring schemes on the Wi-Fi radio for efficient wireless connectivity. On the Bluetooth side, it utilizes adaptive frequency hopping, BDR + EDR + BLE, LE 2 Mbps PHY, LE long range, advertising extensions, and provides superior quality of service. It includes open-source software and Linux backports that are compatible with a wide variety of Linux kernels and the latest security standards. The Sona TI351 supports the latest WPA2/3 personal and Enterprise security standards. It consists of a rich set of interfaces such as SDIO 3.0 (for Wi-Fi) and HCI using HS-UART (for Bluetooth).
The Sona TI351 delivers a transmit power of up to +18 dBm and a data rate of up to 86 Mbps using 64-QAM and over a bandwidth of 20 MHz. It is available in a module that measures 22.0 x 30.0 x 3.1 mm with MHF4 connectors and is ideal for industrial IoT sensors, access control, HVAC controllers, EV charging, handheld devices, and medical applications.
