The RW610 from NXP Semiconductor is a Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 Module that operates at 2.4 and 5 GHz. It has an MCU subsystem that includes a 260 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 core with Trustzone™-M, 1.2 MB on-chip SRAM and Wi-Fi & Bluetooth radios. This module has an integrated PA, LNA, & T/R switch, delivering a Tx power of up to +21 dBm (Wi-Fi) and +15 dBm (Bluetooth). It has a 20 MHz channel for Wi-Fi and delivers a data rate of up to 2 Mbps in BLE high-speed mode and up to 500 kbps in Bluetooth Long Range operation.
The RW610 supports Wi-Fi 6 Target Wake Time (TWT), Wi-Fi 6 Extended Range (ER), Dual Carrier Modulation (DCM) and Matter over Wi-Fi. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes less than 576 mA of current. This module can be controlled via SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, SDIO 3.0, USB 2.0 (OTG), and IEEE 1588 RMII/Fast Ethernet interfaces. It is available in a TFBGA145 package that measures 8 x 8 x 1.07 mm, a WLCSP151 package that measures 4.680 x 5.165 x 0.455 mm, or a HVQFN116 package that measures 9 x 9 x 0.85 mm. This combo module is ideal for connected smart home devices, gaming controllers, enterprise and industrial automation, smart accessories, and smart energy applications.
