The PRM2141 from Peraso is an IEEE 802.11ad/ay mmWave Module that operates from 57 to 71 GHz. It delivers a data rate of up to 2 Gbps and has a range of over 500 m. This module provides an EIRP of 38 dBm and has an Rx sensitivity of -87 dBm. It has a 16-element integrated phased array antenna with support for 2D beam steering up to 45 deg. in both azimuth & elevation and has configurable beam tables optimized for use with a parabolic reflector or standalone operation.
The PRM2141 has Automatic Rate Adaptation, Dynamic Beamforming & Automatic Calibration features and supports 1PPS synchronization. It requires a DC supply of 5 V and can be controlled via a USB interface. The module is available in a compact package that measures 35 x 50 mm and is ideal for PtP and PtMP links for fixed wireless access networks, private mmWave networks, 5G base station backhaul, and V2X applications.
