The BFM02803 from Sivers Semiconductors is a Beamforming Module that operates from 24.25 to 29.5 GHz. It covers the 5G FR2 mmWave bands n257, n258, and n261 and supports 2x2 MIMO with dual-layer polarization in both downlink and uplink for channels up to 1.2 GHz. This module features two TRB02801 RFICs with 32 paths per polarisation (64 in total) and an integrated beam book for instant beamforming/steering. It includes 32 dual-polarized antenna elements with 2D beam steering (±45° in azimuth and elevation) capabilities. The module supports both Zero IF (baseband mode) and Low IF mode (between 3.5 – 5 GHz) and has analog filtering in both receive and transmit modes which suppress out-of-band interferers.
The BFM02803 provides the flexibility and performance required for large deployments of FWA networks by combining the market-leading performance of the TRB02801 RFIC with innovative antenna design. It delivers a TX power of over 50 dBm (per polarization) and enables up to 256 QAM CP-OFDM with an integrated synthesizer. The module is ideal for FWA deployments, 5G mmWave, backhaul, and V2X applications.
