The BFM06017 from Sivers Semiconductors is a Low-Cost RF Module that operates from 57 to 71 GHz. It supports 1D beam-steering (±45° steering in azimuth) and is optimized for high-performance FWA applications and for unlicensed 5G spectrum (802.11ad and 5G NR-U, TDD). This module has a 16+16 Tx/Rx array and enables up to 256 QAM SC with an integrated synthesizer to support a throughput of 10 Gbit/s. It combines the performance of the TRXBF01 RFIC with innovative antenna design to achieve a cost-effective solution with only 6 RF layers and castellated vias. The module delivers a Tx RIRP of 40 dBm and has a noise figure of 7 dB. It is designed to interface with leading baseband modems and provides the flexibility and performance required for large deployments of 60 GHz FWA networks.
