The MAYA-W3 Series from u-blox are Host-Based Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.4 Modules that are designed for IoT applications. They are available in several variants, offering Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, tri-band, dual-band, and single-band configurations. These modules provide SISO Wi-Fi 6/6E operation over a channel bandwidth of 20 MHz, improved network availability in dense Wi-Fi environments, and multi-user MIMO. They support Bluetooth low energy 5.4, including the use of iSochronous channels for LE audio. The modules are designed to meet the high reliability and quality requirements of industrial applications such as smart manufacturing, tracking and telematics, building automation, professional appliances, healthcare, and EV charging applications. The MAYA-W3 Series are based on Infineon’s CYW5551/2/3 chips, which provide the necessary processing for the module, and offer an efficient coexistence management between internal and external radios. They integrate high-speed UART (Bluetooth), PCM, I2S (Bluetooth Audio), and SDIO (Wi-Fi) for remote communication with external devices (e.g., microcontrollers). These combo modules include support for various IEEE 802.11 standards – a, b, g, n, ac, and ax. They are provided with WPA3, WPA2, WAPI, and AES (128-bit) along with secure boot and one-time programmable (OTP) memory for enhanced security.
These modules are available in different variants that support different antenna mounting configurations such as embedded, connectorized with U. FL connectors, or pin-based. They come equipped with an LTE filter to coexist with other technologies.
