The Ophelia-I from Würth Elektronik is a 2.4 GHz Radio Module that operates from 2360 to 2500 MHz. It has no firmware pre-flashed and supports Bluetooth Low Energy and proprietary protocols. This module is based on Nordic Semiconductor SoC nRF52805 and consists of a 64 MHz Arm Cortex-M4 processor with 192 kB flash memory and 24 kB RAM. It delivers an output power of up to 4 dBm to provide a line-of-sight (LOS) range of 350 m and has an Rx sensitivity (E.R.P.) of -85 dBm. The radio requires a DC supply of 3 V, consumes less than 9.3 mA of current in Tx/Rx mode and 0.3 μA of current in sleep mode. It includes UART, SPI, I2C, ADC interfaces along with 10 configurable GPIOs. The Ophelia-I is available in a package that measures 7 x 9 x 2 mm and has an operating temperature range from -40 to +85 °C.
