The ROF4 from Rover Instruments is an RF-over-Fiber Link that operates from 45 to 3000 MHz. It provides an RF gain of 30 dB and has a noise figure of less than 10 dB in Tx and Rx modes. In the optical Tx mode, it is equipped with a DFB single mode laser and supports wavelengths of 1310/1550 nm and a transmission distance of up to 60 Km (1310 nm). In the optical Rx mode, this link is equipped with an optical PIN photodiode, supports wavelengths from 960 to 1650 nm, has automatic/manual gain control and has an input power sensitivity range from -20 to +4 dBm. This RFoF link is compatible with EDFA amplifiers and is available in three versions: 4 TX/4 RX/2 TX & 2 RX modules.

The ROF4 RFoF link is available in IP67-rated enclosure that measures 220 x 195 x 95 mm with weatherproof SC/APC optical connectors and supports direct antenna mounting. It includes 2 redundant 12 V DC PSU inputs to ensure excellent Quality of Service (QoS).
