TITAN™ Multi-Contact Probe Image

The TITAN™  from MPI Corporation is a Multi-Contact Probe, designed for accurate characterization of RFICs. It operates from DC to 6 GHz and features 3 to 15 contacts, which can be individually configured as either RF, logic signal, or the bypass power supply of the RFIC. This probe has a contact resistance of 45 mΩ on Al, a contact width of 20 µm, and a wide pitch range from 50 to 300 µm. It has an insertion loss of 3 dB (without cable assembly), 5 dB (with cable assembly), and a return loss of 10 dB.

MPI’s TITAN™ Probe technology offers excellent impedance matching, electrical characteristics, and unique tip visibility. The TITAN probe is quadrant (allowing corner pads) and shield environment-compatible. This probe is the shortest of its kind and enables a wide-temperature range (-40 to 150 degrees Celsius) characterization of large ICs in a shielded environment and also supports other challenging test configurations.
