ADMV9621 Image

The ADMV9621 from Analog Devices is an mm-Wave Short Data Link Transceiver with a Tx frequency of 58.0125 GHz and Rx frequency of 63 GHz in the unlicensed industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) band. It delivers a data rate of 100 Mbps with ultra-low latency and has a short link communication distance of 1-5 cm. This transceiver provides a Tx gain from -3 to +32 dB and an Rx gain from -10 to +69 dB. It has an integrated omnidirectional circularly polarized patch antenna array, high band & low band diplexer for improved multipath distortion, receiver & transmitter frequency synthesizers, reference clock, and on-chip temperature sensors. This transceiver has DC-coupled baseband for input & output and supports full-duplex operation & simple AM modulation scheme. It can be controlled via a 3-wire serial digital interface.

The ADMV9621 is available in a small 52-terminal printed circuit assembly (PCA) package that measures 34.7 x 29.89 mm and requires a DC supply of 5 V. It is ideal for 60 GHz short data links for industrial & medical high data rate and high-speed data for rotating applications, such as slip rings and magnetic resonance imaging systems.
