The BGT80 is a single chip SiGe Transceiver Chipset from Infineon that operates from 81 to 86 GHz. This transceiver has been developed for small cell backhaul applications. Its wideband capability enable it to support data rates in excess of 1 Gbps making it ideal for LTE backhaul.
The BGT80 provides a saturated output power of 10 dBm and a gain of 20 dB with a noise figure of 9 dB. It consists of a power amplifier, Low Noise Amplifier, Up and Down-Convertors, Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA), Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) all on one SiGe chip. It is available in a 6 x 6 mm package.
