The ZL70550 from Microchip Technology is an ultra-low power transceiver that operates from 779 MHz to 965 MHz. It is well-suited for wireless applications operating on coin-cell batteries or energy harvesters, such as electronic shelf labels, retail asset tracking, process control, wearable monitoring, medical diagnostics and ECG equipment.
This transceiver operates from 779 MHz to 965 MHz in the unlicensed industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) frequency bands. It consumes only 2.8 mA while transmitting at -10 dBm output power and consumes 2.5 mA during reception. The transceiver has a sleep state current of 10 nA, making it ideal for low-duty cycle applications. It requires a supply voltage from 1.8 - 3.6 V and supports data rates up to 200 kbps. This highly integrated transceiver is available in a very small 3x2 mm chip scale package.
