The STX1001 from Starix Technology is a highly integrated UWB CMOS SoC with support for Band Group 1 (3.168 - 4.752 GHz) and Band Group 3 (6.336 -7.920 GHz). It has integrated Protocol Adaptation Layers, a Media Access Controller (MAC), a baseband processor, RF transceivers, and USB 2.0 and SDIO interfaces. The chip supports date rates from 53 to 480 Mbps (53.3, 80, 106.7, 160, 200, 320, 400, 480 Mbps) and has AES-128 hardware encryption. It has flexible protocol processing for UWB based protocol adaptation layers. Other interfaces of this chip include UART, I2C, SPI and GPIOs. It is available in an ultra-compact Quad Flat No-Lead (64-pin QFN) plastic package that measures 9 x 9 mm.
