The LRM-5400 from Feig Electronic is an RFID Reader that operates in the HF Band. It offers stable reading and writing performance with fast speeds. This reader is based on the NXP I-Code 1 RFID/NFC and supports transponders according to the ISO protocols 15693, ISO 18000-A, and ISO 18000-3M3. It can identify large and dense 13.56 MHz transponders with multiple antenna configurations over a read range of 2 meters. It is equipped with an external multiplexer (for multiple antenna setups), power splitter, and an antenna tuner from FEIG to ensure security of locks, conveyor belts, and antenna systems. This RFID reader delivers an output power from 1 to 8 W (adjustable) in the transmit mode. It requires a DC supply of 24 V and consumes 35 VA of power.
The LRM5400 operates in three reading modes: ISO host mode, buffered read mode, and notification mode and includes support for IPv4 and IPv6, DHCP, DNS, and NTP services for easy network integration. It has a highly sensitive receiver that ensures an extended and homogenous detection capability at the same time. This reader consists of flexible interface options such as RS-485, USB (device, host), Ethernet (TCP/IP), and RS-485 auxiliary devices and configuration options that allow easy interfacing and operation in professional TCP/IP networks.
It has protective functionalities against malfunctions such as antenna short-circuit and incorrect antenna adjustment and received international radio and safety approvals according to ETSI, FCC, IC, UL 62368, and EN 62368-1. This RFID reader is available in a module that measures 160 x 120 x 46 mm and is ideal for libraries, laundries, casinos, logistics, and industrial applications.
