The MICRO SAT LW from Get SAT is a Portable On-the-move SATCOM Terminal that is suitable for use in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It operates in the Ku-band from 10.7 to 12.75 GHz (Rx)/12.75 to 14.5 GHz (Tx) or in the Ka-band from 17.5 to 21.2 GHz (Rx)/27.5 to 31 GHz (Tx). This terminal has an integrated modem, Antenna Control Unit (ACU), BUC (Block Up Converter), tracking sensors, LNB (Low Noise Block) downconverter and a full RF front end. It delivers a data rate of more than 10 Mbps with a 360° azimuth coverage and an elevation coverage from 0° to 90°. The terminal is designed for quick Roll On/Roll Off and allows easy installation and removal to enhance system mobility between different platforms. It requires a DC supply from 12 to 36 V and consumes less than 250 W of power.
For the Ka-Band variant, this terminal delivers an EIRP of 46.3 dBW with 25 W BUC and has a maximum gain-to-noise-temperature (G/T) of 8.2 dB/K. It has RHCP/LHCP polarization (co-pol/cross-pol). For the Ku-Band variant, this terminal delivers an EIRP of 42.7 dBW with 50 W BUC and has a maximum gain-to-noise-temperature (G/T) of 4.2 dB/K. It has a linear (V/H) polarization with automatic skew control. The MICRO SAT LW has an initial acquisition time of less than 30 seconds and a re-acquisition time of better than 100 ms. It can be controlled via RS-232 and Ethernet interfaces.
The MICRO SAT LW is available in a package that measures 29 x 21 cm with a panel size of 25 x 13.5 cm. It is ideal for airborne connectivity, compact installations, fully autonomous operation for transmit and receive, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) applications.
