The HAWKEYE™ III LITE from L3Harris Technologies is a Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) that operates in the X, Ku, and Ka bands. It has a Tx/Rx frequency range from 7.25 to 8.4 GHz (X-band), 10.95 to 14.50 GHz (Ku-band), 19.2 to 31 GHz (Ka-WB band) and 20.2 to 31 GHz (Ka-mil band). This terminal has a 1.2-meter, segmented carbon fiber parabolic reflector and supports auto acquisition. It has an elevation range from 7° to 90° and an azimuth range from -90° to +90°. This VSAT is designed for modem and RF modularity and includes ancillary kits that allow operators to quickly change between frequency bands and modems in minutes. It delivers high-speed data communications for Internet, VPN and video transmission.
The HAWKEYE™ III LITE supports external modems through the front panel of the Enhanced Outdoor Unit (EODU). It utilizes the Viewsat-e™ GUI which automates configuration when swapping frequency bands or modems and allows commonality of control. This VSAT simplifies subsystem monitoring and troubleshooting by unifying all status reporting into a single, easy-to-read display. It is available in a lightweight two- or three-case design (as determined by system configuration) and is tested per MIL-STD-810G standard. This terminal requires an AC supply from 90 to 264 V.
