The ACE9600 from dBm Corp is Satellite Link Emulator for simulating satellite to fixed/mobile ground stations, satellite-to-satellite RF link testing and Satellite Payload Emulation. It has an instantaneous bandwidth of up to 600 MHz and is based on a powerful hardware/DSP test platform that allows a variety of impairments to be inserted in real-time, enabling testing of a range of wireless receivers, UHF/VHF Radios, satellite payloads and satellite fixed & mobile ground and airborne transceivers in a controlled laboratory environment.
ACE takes testing to the next level with accurate simulation of phase continuous propagation delays, flat-fading, path loss, frequency hopping, phase shift and Doppler shifts, allowing systems engineers to create realistic, full-duplex path scenarios for closed-loop testing of a wide range of digital receivers.
Remote control can be accomplished by making calls from test software, or by using the ACEClient application program provided with the instrument. This application provides control of all ACE functions, as well as manipulation of the dynamic data files. Built into the client are wizards that can generate profiles to emulate band-limiting filters such as IMUX/MUX devices, and profiles for amplifier compression.
This Satellite Link Emulator instrument can be configured with up to 4 channels. Up to four chassis with four channels each can be configured with precise synchronization to provide a 16 channel emulator.
