The Model 870A from Berkeley Nucleonics is a 50 GHz Multi-Channel Signal Generator with a frequency range from 100 kHz to 40 GHz. It is available in 1, 2, 3, or 4-channel configurations and supports AM, FM, PM, and pulse modulations. This generator has an output with a power range from -60 to +15 dBm and a phase noise of -152 dBc/Hz (at 100 kHz offset, 1 GHz frequency). The output stage filtering includes new methods for signal management which result in excellent harmonics and minimized spurious outputs. It has a standard switching speed of 500 μs and also features the Fast Control Port (FCP) that allows users to reduce switching speeds to 15 µs.
The Model 870A has a touchscreen interface for an intuitive and efficient front panel control. It can be connected by Ethernet, USB, or GPIB making it ideal for a broad range of applications in lab, production, or research-based applications. This signal generator is available in benchtop or rackmount enclosures and is suitable for use in ATE, production testing, R&D low noise signal source, signal simulation, defense, aerospace, and service and maintenance applications.
