The R&S®SMCV100B from Rohde & Schwarz is a Vector Signal Generator that operates from 4 kHz to 3 GHz (6/7.125 GHz options also available). It provides up to +25 dBm of output power, has a modulation bandwidth of up to 240 MHz and a settling time of 5 ms. The device has SSB phase noise of less than -100 dBc (20 kHz offset) at 2.5 GHz and ACLR of -65 dBc at5 MHz offset.
The R&S®SMCV100B vector signal generator features a state-of-the-art user interface and a new direct RF DAC concept for RF signal generation which enables I/Q modulation and upconversion in the digital domain eliminating I and Q imbalance errors and LO leakage. With the R&S WinIQSIM2, it also supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou navigation standards for functional Go/NoGo tests. The device has 60 GB of mSATA storage along with USB 3.0 interface for waveform streaming functionality.
The signal generator is available in a benchtop module that measures 222 x 366 x 97 mm with a 5” color display with capacitive touch functionality and BNC Female input and output connectors. It has Ethernet/LAN 10/100/1000BASE-T, USB 2.0 for interfacing and is suitable for many applications, from the lab to production, like EMC testing, automotive, broadcast, navigation and wireless applications
