The ADRF5301 from Analog Devices is a Silicon-Based SPDT Switch that operates from 37 to 49 GHz. It can handle an input power of up to 28 dBm, has an insertion loss of 1.4 dB, and provides an isolation of 30 dB. This switch exhibits high input linearity and is manufactured using a silicon process. It integrates a driver to perform logic functions internally and to provide users with the advantage of a simplified CMOS-/TTL control interfaces. This SPDT switch uses a single digitally controllable input pin at the driver IC to control the state of RF paths.
The ADRF5301 includes a negative voltage generator (NVG) to operate using a single positive supply applied to the VDD pin. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes 450 µA of current. This switch is available in a Land Grid Array (LGA) package that measures 3 x 3 mm and is ideal for the industrial scanners, cellular infrastructure, mm-Wave 5G networks, radars, electronic counter measures (ECMs), microwave radios, VSATs, military radios, and test instrumentation applications.
