The GRF6011W from Guerrilla RF is a linear, ultra-low loss SPDT Switch that operates from 0.1 to 6.0 GHz. The switch can handle an input average power of up to 36 dBm and has an insertion loss of less than 0.43 dB in switching mode. It requires a supply voltage of 3-5 V and has a single control input.
This switch has been designed with failsafe characteristics when all voltage inputs are removed. In powered down (Failsafe) mode, one path defaults to a high insertion loss state while the other path defaults to a low insertion loss state that retains high linearity.
With optimization of external components, the upper frequency range of the device can be extended to 6.0 GHz. Optimization for a particular band involves selecting the optimal series capacitor values for the three RF ports. The GRF6011W is available in QFN/DFN/LFM tape & reel package and is ideal for use in signal boosters/repeaters and automotive telematics applications.
