The QPC1252Q from Qorvo is an Antenna Routing Switch that is designed to enable Emergency Calling (e-Call) functionality in Telematics Control Units (TCU) supporting Dual Sim Dual Active (DSDA). An Integrated 3 GHz power splitter is incorporated with bypass for DSDA applications. It provides an excellent insertion loss and isolation performance. This highly linear switch can handle up to +34 dBm of CW power and has a switching speed of 2 µs. In case of an emergency where antennas get damaged or covered, this module allows a primary cellular link to be switched to other antennas in the automobile to establish emergency communication.
This switch requires a supply voltage of 1.8 V, has a very low current consumption. It is available in a 32-pin surface-mount package that measures 4.00 x 6.00 X 0.64 mm. The switch has an RFFE serial control system as a control interface that is compliant with the V2.1 MIPI standard. The broadband performance of the switch makes it suitable for multiple air Interfaces including 5G applications up to 6 GHz, and for eCall switching applications, as well as telematic control unit modules. It is qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 2 (target).
