The CCT-49K Series from Teledyne Defense Electronics are Multi-Throw Electromechanical Switches that operate from DC to 40 GHz. These internally terminated switches have a break-before-make design and can switch to a microwave signal from a common input to any of the 3, 4, 6, and 8 output ports. They provide an isolation of up to 80 dB, have an insertion loss of less than 1.5 dB, and a VSWR of less than 2.2:1. These switches have a latching actuator that remains in the last position selected when the switch is de-energized and each position has an individual actuator to each position, which allows random position selection to minimize switching time. They are internally matched to 50 ohms and provide impedance matching for the unselected ports.
The CCT-49K Series switches require a DC actuation voltage of 12 to 28 V and an actuation current of less than 280 mA. They are available in modules that measure 2.52 x 2.00 inches with 2.92 mm (K-type, female) connectors. These switches have a mechanical life of more than 5,000,000 cycles and meet the MIL-STD-202 standard for vibration and shock.
