The GR551x series from Goodix is a Bluetooth 5.1 System-on-Chip (SoC) with a 2.4 GHz transceiver and a digital communication core. It has been designed for use in mobile devices, wearables and IoT devices. This SoC supports diverse data rates of 2 Mbps and 1 Mbps along with lower data rates of 500 Kbps and 125 Kbps for long-range communication. These SoCs transmit up to 8 dBm of power and have a sensitivity of -103 dBm in the long-range that supports a data rate of 125 Kbps and -97 dBm when operating at a data rate of 1 Mbps.
The GR551x SoCs have a 32-bit, 64 MHz ARM Cortex -M4F microprocessor with floating point support and comes with a power management unit (PMU) to supply sufficient power to both internal modules and external peripherals. It supports 6-channel pulse width modulation and requires a supply voltage from 1.7 to 4.35 V. The low-power SoC is available in a 48-lead 6 x 6 mm QFN package or 68 lead 5.3 x 5.3 mm BGA package.
