The IN100 NanoBeacon from InPlay is a 2.4 GHz Bluetooth 5.0 SoC that is designed for IIoT applications. It has a range of up to several hundred meters and has 4KB SRAM & 4Kb OTP memory. This SoC has a firmware-less design and can be simply configured and used straight away because of a novel protocol implemented directly into its circuitry, eliminating the need for programming. It requires a DC supply from 1.1 to 3.6 V and can operate on a single 1.5 V coin cell battery. This SoC consumes just 650 nA of current at 1-minute advertising intervals and has a sleep mode that reduces consumption to 500 nA.
The IN100 NanoBeacon is available in a DFN8 package that measures 2.5 x 2.5 mm or a QFN18 package that measures 3 x 3 mm. It is ideal for asset management, smart IoT sensors, and smart healthcare IIoT applications.
