The AW690 from NXP Semiconductors is a Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 Combo SoC that operates at a frequency of 2.4 and 5 GHz. It delivers a peak Wi-Fi data rate of 1.2 Gbps and a Bluetooth data rate of up to 3 Mbps (EDR). This SoC supports 1x1 concurrent dual Wi-Fi (CDW) which means it can operate in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands (SISO operation). It also supports 2x2 MIMO single-band operation and implements advanced Wi-Fi features like MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and target wake time (TWT). This SoC can be controlled via PCIe and UART host interfaces.

 The AW690 supports Bluetooth Class 1.5 and Class 2 and up to 16 Bluetooth LE links. It supports Bluetooth features like BDR &EDR, Bluetooth Low Energy (LE), and Bluetooth Low Energy Long Range. This SoC supports advanced Wi-Fi and Bluetooth coexistence hardware with algorithms to optimize collaborative performance and support for external radio coexistence (for example, cellular) is provided through an external interface. It has integrated 2.4?GHz and 5?GHz TX power amplifiers (PA), RX low noise amplifiers (LNA) and Tx/Rx switches (T/R SW), and a full Bluetooth radio. This AEC-Q100 grade 3 compliant SoC is ideal for hands-free audio, infotainment, navigation, remote diagnostics, telematics, and user interface mirroring applications.
