The QPG6200L from Qorvo is a 2.4 GHz Wireless SoC that supports Matter, Zigbee, Thread, and Bluetooth Low Energy. It is compliant with the IEEE Standard 802.15.4 for Zigbee and Thread, and the Bluetooth Core Specification v5.4 for Bluetooth Low Energy. This SoC integrates a balun, filter, radio transceiver, Bluetooth Low Energy controller, integrated Arm® Cortex®-M4 microprocessor, RAM, and Flash memory. It delivers a data rate of 250 kbit/s for the 802.15.4 radio (Zigbee and Thread) and up to 2 Mbit/s for Bluetooth Low Energy, with a transmit power of 10 dBm.
The integrated multi-stack, multi-protocol support enables vendors to operate multiple protocols on different channels, allowing innovative applications that combine Matter, Zigbee, Thread, and Bluetooth Low Energy in a single product. Its excellent receiver sensitivity and superior signal processing extend coverage. The SoC requires a DC supply from 1.7 to 3.6 V and can operate from a standard lithium coin cell battery with minimal additional components.
This multi-protocol SoC can be controlled via GPIOs, USB 2.0, UART, SPI, and I2C interfaces. It includes ultra-low power voltage level detectors and overvoltage protection circuitry for safe operation and shutdown. The QPG6200L is available in a surface-mount QFN-32 package measuring 4 x 4 mm and is optimized for reliable communication in harsh radio environments.
