The EFR32BG26 Series 2 from Silicon Labs is a 2.4 GHz Bluetooth 5.4 SoC. It is based on a 32-bit 78 MHz ARM Cortex-M33 with DSP instruction and a floating-point unit for efficient signal processing. This SoC supports Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth 5.4), Bluetooth mesh and proprietary 2.4 GHz protocols. It supports 2 (G)FSK with fully configurable shaping and (G)MSK modulation schemes. The SoC has a Matrix-Vector Processor for AI/ML acceleration and a 12, 16, or 20-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (IADC). It requires a DC supply of 1.71 to 3.8 V and consumes less than 144.1 mA of current.
The EFR32BG26 Series 2 delivers a data rate of up to 2 Mbps with a Tx power of up to ±19.5 dBm and an Rx sensitivity of up to -105.7 dBm. It can be controlled via USART, EUSART, UART, SPI, SmartCard (ISO 7816), IrDA, I2S and DALI interfaces. This SoC is available in a QFN48 package that measures 6.00 x 6.00 x 0.85 mm, a QFN68 package that measures 8.00 x 8.00 x 0.85 mm, or a BGA136 package that measures 7.00 x 7.00 x 0.82 mm. It is ideal for smart homes, lighting, portable medical, gateways/hubs, sensors, switches, door locks, smart plugs, LED lighting, luminaires, blood glucose meters and pulse oximeter applications.
