The TC35681FSG-001 from Toshiba is a Bluetooth® low energy Ver. 5.0 IC. This compact IC combines a high transmission output (data rates up to 2 Mbps) with low current consumption. It has a receiver sensitivity of -105 dBm at 125 kbps, and a built-in high efficiency power amplifier in the transmission block delivers up to +8 dBm transmission power. Additionally, 18-port GPIOs interfaces, which can be set to 2 channels each for SPI, I2C, and UART are also included, allowing full structuring of systems that connect to various peripheral devices. These GPIOs can be configured as a wakeup function, 4-channel PWM, 5-channel ADC interface and many others. They can optionally be configured as a control interface for an external amplifier for long range communication. The IC is available in a QFN package that measures 5 x 5 mm.
The TC35681FSG has no built-in Flash ROM and therefore is intended to operate in combination with an external non-volatile memory or host processor. A wide operating range of -40° to +125°C makes it suitable for applications where high temperatures may be experienced.
