The UBI206 from Ubilite is a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Chipset that is designed for ultra-low power wireless IoT applications. It supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards and delivers a data rate of up to 72.2 Mbps. This chipset has a Tx output power of +6 dBm and an Rx sensitivity of -99 dBm. It is a highly integrated single device that enables a wide range of IoT products with a minimal number of external components and offers a Wi-Fi experience with power consumption matching Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The chipset requires a DC supply from 0.9 to 3.6 V (coin-battery or AA battery) and consumes less than 20 mW of power in Tx/Rx mode, 1 mW of power in idle mode, and 1 μW of power in deep sleep mode.
The UBI206 is optimized for the Wi-Fi stack and includes full support for IPv4 and IPv6. It is available in a surface-mount QFN48 package that measures 2.1 x 2.1 mm and is suitable for use in several ultra-low power IoT markets including wearables, trackers, beacons, healthcare, smart home, industrial systems monitoring and control, and audio.
