The 6C9-1621.25-X10.5T11 from Reactel is a cavity bandpass filter for the Iridium Satellite system. This airborne BPF has a passband from 1616 to 1626.5 MHz and a center frequency (Fc) of 1621.25 MHz. It is specifically designed with a narrow bandwidth and high rejection to isolate Iridium frequencies from outside interference due to Inmarsat systems and utilizes a special plating process. The MDB001 from Saras Technology is a dual band pass custom filter (diplexer) with passband 1 from 1.98 to 2.10 GHz and passband 2 from 2.17 to 2.29 GHz. It has an attenuation of over 35 dB from 1.95 to 2.7 GHz and a passband insertion loss of less than 2.5 dB. This filter can handle up to 30 W of input power and is available in a module that measures 250 x 150 x 43 mm with N-type (F) connectors. Each passband within the assembly is implemented by using a multi-section filter with high Q’s to achieve low insertion performance.
