Practical PA Design Method Using Load-Line, Load-Pull and Real-Frequency Synthesis Techniques
With access to the transistor channel model, the designer is able to precondition the load to near optimum conditions for a high-efficiency mode of operation, enabling a straightforward approach to broadband design flow. After such preconditioning, simulations for extracting the load-pull contours for the fundamental and harmonic frequencies can be performed in a straightforward manner not possible when the transistor model is a black box.
