Guerrilla RF Releases New RF Mixer Family with Integrated LO Buffer

Guerrilla RF has introduced a new frequency conversion family with the introduction of the GRF7001, a high linearity mixer with integrated LO buffer. This device features low conversion loss and can be used as an up or down converter.

The GRF7001 inputs and outputs are single-ended and internally matched to 50 ohms. The device implementation requires an external image-reject filter on the RF port, and an IF bandpass filter on the IF port. Pins 4 and 6 can be used for either RF or IF with appropriate filtering in place. The integrated LO buffer is operated from a single positive supply of 3.0 to 5.0 V with a selectable IDDQ range of 10 to 30 mA. The RF/IF frequency range of the GRF7001 is 0.1 to 5.0 GHz, and the LO range is 0.1 to 4.0 GHz.

The new mixer product family addresses a critical industry need for cost-effective, broadband frequency conversion over a wide range of operating conditions. With flexible biasing and an OIP3 of over +25 dBm, the mixer provides outstanding performance.

Samples and evaluation boards are available with production planned for Q4 2018. Pricing for 10,000 parts is $1.25 each.

Guerrilla RF announced this new product family at IMS 2018.
