ETS-Lindgren Opens a Wireless Testing Lab in India

ETS-Lindgren India announced the opening of the state-of-the-art Hi-Tech Wireless Chamber at Mphasis in Bangalore, India. Mphasis is an information technology solutions provider specializing in cloud and cognitive services, block chain technologies, and artificial intelligence. They serve customers in the banking, insurance, energy/utilities, healthcare, manufacturing, and service industries. Working closely with the engineers at Mphasis, ETS-Lindgren designed, manufactured, and installed the wireless chamber for multiple applications, including the testing of wireless products, medical equipment, and instrumentation.

Notably, the Radio Frequency (RF) shielded panels used for the chamber were made in India at ETS-Lindgren's manufacturing facility. With dimensions of 13 x 4.5 x 2.6 m (43 x 15 x 9 ft), the wireless chamber enables the testing of a wide range of industrial and consumer products including printers, mobile phones, wearables, IoT devices, and gateways, among others.  The chamber also supports cellular (3G/4G/5G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee protocols, and wireless bands.

ETS-Lindgren was happy to collaborate with Mphasis in establishing a test lab in India. They have consulted with their team to learn more about the advanced requirements and goals for testing wireless products. While meeting with the highly skilled departments at Mphasis, they were able to share the expertise on the nuances of Wi-Fi test lab requirements and collectively create a solution to optimize the flexibility of the test chamber. ETS-Lindgren designed the wireless chamber to meet Mphasis' test requirements and management goals – now and in the future. The facility addresses the growing demand for wireless testing and certification services, offering partnered clients with state-of-the-art technology and a comprehensive service solution, including certifications for global market access, all under one roof.

They continue to see a significant uptick in the deployment of next-generation wireless technology applications, and ensuring products are well tested and interoperable with the existing ecosystem is a top priority for all players in this growing market. With the opening of Mphasis' first wireless testing chamber, this will further provide significant innovation in the critical area of testing and look forward to assist their partners in delivering high quality and differentiated products in a cost-effective manner.

ETS-Lindgren has also installed the world's first CTIA Authorized Test Lab. Their active contributions to CTIA and other industry standards organizations has resulted in many "industry first" efforts that advance the technology for wireless device test and measurement.  Customers rely on ETS-Lindgren's ongoing industry standards involvement to ensure they are prepared to meet not only today's standards, but tomorrow's as well.  Their latest technical advancements include dozens of customized 5G NR test systems to meet specific user requirements.
